Celebrating Jubilees in the UK in 2022

THE JUBILARIANS: Maureen Boggins and Ann Crawley

It was with great delight the Sisters in the UK Region were able to gather on Tuesday 12 July at Rothley Court Hotel in Leicestershire to give thanks and celebrate with our Jubilarians of 2022.  This year two Jubilarians, Sisters Ann Crawley and Maureen Boggins each celebrated 60 years of Religious Life.  The weather was glorious, and the day was just perfect with a relaxed atmosphere.   Margaret Healy warmly welcomed us to our joyful celebration after which Maureen our Jubilarian explained her display of symbols of our CSJP missions in Africa and other countries along with symbols of the Haiti mission where she and Ann have ministered for the past 10 years.  Maureen then led us in the beautiful prayer service she had prepared beginning with the hymn “For the Beauty of the Earth”, by John Rutter and concluded with the Jubilee song.

“Let the trumpet sound to announce the year.

Let it tell God’s people that their time is here.

Like a living stream, let mercy flow,

Like a mountain high, let justice grow,

Let the reign of God from sea to sea

 Set captives free, Cry ‘Jubilee’.”

We were especially pleased once again to have Andrea join us for the occasion as she was visiting the Region for the second time since becoming Congregation Leader.  We offer congratulations to Ann and Maureen from all of us and may God continue to bless and guide both of you in the years to come.
