2024 Jubilees in the UK
It was with delight that the sisters in the UK Region were able to gather on Tuesday, 11 June, at Rothley Court Hotel in Leicestershire to give thanks and celebrate the lives of our Jubilarians of 2024. The weather was good, and the day was simply perfect with a relaxed atmosphere.

2024 Jubilees in the West
On May 4, 2024, sisters, associates, family and friends gathered in Bellevue, Washington, to honor three Jubilarians celebrating 70 and 60 years of religious life as Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

2024 Jubilees in the East
On April 13, 2024, sisters, associates, family and friends gathered in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, to honor four Jubilarians celebrating 80 and 70 years of religious life as Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

Spring Retreat Assembly – Healing Ourselves, Healing the World
Sisters and associates in all three regions gathered this spring to reflect and pray with the theme, “Healing Ourselves, Healing the World.” Kathy Galleher, Ph.D. was our guide at each retreat assembly as we created a contemplative and reflective space to explore our commitment in our Chapter Call to address, heal, and be present to the wounds and broken relationships among ourselves and all of God’s Creation.

Catholic Sign-on Letter on Israel-Palestine
In keeping with our Chapter commitments to address, heal, and be present to wounds and broken relationships and to resist every form of war and violence, we have signed on as a Congregation to a new open Catholic Letter released today and coordinated by Pax Christi USA, the Catholic Advisory Council of Churches for Middle East Peace, the Franciscan Action Network, and the Maryknoll Office for Global Concerns.

Sisters Invite Youth and Young Adults To Nottingham Retreat Day
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace are collaborating with the Verbum Dei Missionary Community to host a retreat day for youth and young adults in Nottingham on Saturday 27th April at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Parish Hall, Brooklyn Road, Bulwell, Nottingham, NG6 9ES.

140th Anniversary - Community Day of Thanksgiving
Each year the Congregation celebrates the 7th of January as our Community Day of Thanksgiving, remembering the day in 1884 when the first Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace professed vows at St. Barnabas Cathedral in Nottingham. This year our celebration also marks the beginning of our 140th year as a religious institute. As we commemorate our heritage on this special day, we invite you to join us in reflecting on these words from and about our founding persons.

Peace and Justice Grants for UK Based Projects
The Sisters and Associates in our United Kingdom region are offering grants (up to £5,000) for Peace and Justice projects.

Autumn Assemblies - Community is our Mission
Sisters and associates in all three regions gathered this autumn to consider the theme "Community is our Mission." We explored what is ours to do to be who we say we are as a community for mission and to live community as our mission. Sister Kristin Matthes, SNDdeN, served as facilitator at each assembly.

National Catholic Organizations urge President Biden to call for ceasefire, humanitarian aid
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace have joined more than two dozen national Catholic organizations in sending a letter to President Biden urging him to take the necessary steps to de-escalate the conflict in Israel-Palestine, including calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and for all parties to prioritize corridors for humanitarian aid for the people in Gaza; and to prioritize steps to secure the immediate release of hostages and ensure international protection for civilians.

Sister Liz Dodd Professes First Vows as a Sister of St. Joseph of Peace
The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace (CSJP) joyfully celebrated the first profession of vows of Sister Elizabeth Anne (Liz) Dodd on Saturday the 14th of October.

Congregation Welcomes Two Candidates for Vowed Life
Cheruto Cynthia Bundi and Jessica Sun were welcomed as Candidates for vowed membership during the Eastern Region Autumn Assembly liturgy on Saturday, September 24, 2023.

Feeding Haiti - One Meal at a Time
On June 5, sisters and staff at St. Michael Villa in New Jersey celebrated Founders Day by joining efforts with Holy Name Health Promise to pack meals for hungry families in Milot, Haiti.

Mother Francis Clare (Margaret Anna Cusack) passed away on June 5, 1899. Each year on this day, we celebrate her vision and legacy of collaboration with our other founders, Mother Evangelista (Honoria Gaffney) and Bishop Edward Gilpin Bagshawe.

Jubilee Celebrations held across the Congregation
This Spring sisters, associates, family and friends gathered in Englewood Cliffs, Nottingham, and Bellevue to celebrate our 14 Jubilarians celebrating 80, 75, 70, and 60 years of religious life for a combined 885 years of loving service as Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace.

2023 Jubilees in the West
On Saturday, June 3, 2023 the Chapel at St. Mary-on-the-Lake was filled to the brim with sisters, associates, family and friends to celebrate the combined 255 years of love and service of our four Sister Jubilarians in the Western Region.

2023 Jubilees in the East
On May 6 the Eastern region of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace gathered in the auditorium of the Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing to celebrate the jubilees of six of their members.
