2025 Jubilees in the UK

It was with delight that the sisters and associates in the UK Region were able to gather on Tuesday, 17 June at Rothley Court Hotel in Leicestershire to give thanks and celebrate the lives of our Jubilarians of 2025. This year Sister Bridget Rhattigan celebrated 75 years as a CSJP, and Sisters Margaret Byrne and Kathleen Delaney each celebrated their Platinum Jubilees, 70 years of Religious Life. Unfortunately Sister Kathleen was unable to be with us in person owing to her health; we wish her well. Sister Olivia Killeen who would also have celebrated 75 years as a CSJP was remembered in our prayer. The weather was good, and the day was simply perfect with a relaxed atmosphere. On behalf of all the Jubilarians, Sister Kathleen McBride warmly welcomed everyone to the celebration and led us in the beautiful prayer that she graciously prepared with Sister Hilda Baxter. This included the call to “arise” in the opening song “The Deer’s Cry.”

We were delighted to have Sister Andrea Nenzel join us once again for the celebration, and this year she was joined by Sister Susan Francois, who was on a visit to the Region.

We offer congratulations to Bridget, Margaret, and Kathleen from all of us and may God continue to bless and guide them in the years to come.
