Our Ministries - Spirituality

"We value the ministry of presence as an important dimension of the gospel of peace. In the hope of continuing our tradition of gracious hospitality, we welcome others to our communities and also try to be present to people in their own situations." (Constitution 18)

We recognize that all people need and deserve the time to experience peace and growth in their spiritual lives. Therefore, we operate three centers where people can have this opportunity  - one on each of the coasts of the United States and at our regional center in Rearsby, England. Sisters and Associates also minister directly as spiritual directors and in pastoral care in a variety of settings.

Peace & Spirituality CenterPeace and Spirituality Center (Bellevue, WA)
Located on the shores of Lake Washington in Bellevue, the Peace and Spirituality Center at St. Mary-on-the-Lake provides the perfect setting for retreats, workshops, and meetings. The nine-acre, lake-front property is secluded and wooded, with paths through the woods and to the lake where a dock with wooden rocking chairs offers views of Mt. Rainier, Mercer Island and Olympic Mountain sunsets.

Throughout the year, the Center hosts and sponsors programs for groups and individual persons of all faiths and cultures who seek holistic renewal in their daily lives. Its our mission is to promote an understanding and an appreciation of the interrelatedness of all creation.

Sacred Heart ConventSacred Heart Convent(Rearsby, England)
Set in the heart of England in Leicestershire, our regional centre offers a peaceful setting and meeting space for groups and quiet days for individuals. Our chapel and grounds are available and our hospitality is renowned.
