Peace through Justice - Advocacy
This Congregation had its origin
in the founder’s response
to the social concerns and needs of the time. (Constitution 4)
Recalling Jesus’ identification with the
prophetic tradition,
we develop a critical, sensitive conscience
regarding religious, social, cultural,
economic, and political realities,
and we direct our efforts
to actions which bring peace through justice. (Constitution 23)
In accord with our tradition and our charism of peace through justice, we seek to understand the economic and political realities which affect the lives of the poor, marginalized, women and children in our own time, and to collaborate with organizations working for justice.
